RESOLUTION FOR AWARDING HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
TO HENRYK MIKOŁAJ GÓRECKI

HEREAS, the Society for Polish Music has been established with a mission to further the cause of Polish music in the world, through its creation, performance, and study; and

HEREAS, The Society for Polish Music has created the category of Honorary Membership to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Polish music, furthering the Society's stated object; and

HEREAS, Henryk Mikolaj Górecki, during his internationally acclaimed career as a composer, made universally recognized contributions to the art of music through his original compositions; now, therefore, be it

ESOLVED that HENRYK MIKOŁAJ GÓRECKI is awarded Honorary Membership in the Society for Polish Music; and be it further

ESOLVED that all members of Society for Polish Music unanimously thank Henryk Mikolaj Górecki for his gift of music that has enriched the world for the enjoyment and edification of all.
